Greymatter, journaling/blogging, integrating the self, website, etc.
Cat'r is fooling around with putting Greymatter up on bookmice.net for all of us to use. I don't know what I would do with it actually...I haven't been doing *anything* with my CM's Diary lately. It mostly turned into a "What's New?" section. And my LiveJournal is more my online journal/diary. And then I have once again started putting daily entries into my offline/paper journal, for things I feel are more private/controversial/what-have-you. Possibly more boring too. :-P (pleeeeze don't say, "MORE boring? Is that *possible*?!". Heh.)
I am fragmented right now. CM's Diary always seemed part of a more child-like part of me; and I found I felt/feel constrained in my entries there because of webrings I am in that are supposed to be "family-friendly/appropriate for children". So my (slightly) more grown-up entries went/go into my LiveJournal. I really need to become more integrated, somehow.
And I realized that I am NOT going to be able to work on any of my Coolpix things without a very-very-easy-to-make-thumbnails-with sort of thingee. That's what FrontPage98 did for me. But FP98 does not work with Windows XP (which my lovely new Dell computer uses), so I tentatively went with the idea of reverting to FrontPage Express. Aarrgh. I forgot how much I disliked all its little "eccentricities". I need to get the upgrade version of FrontPage 2002. But I am not sure we will have the money this (coming) month. Bunnicula is going to see the surgeon tomorrow about his shoulder. B. is in a LOT of pain from torn tendons and such. :-(
::sigh:: Plus I don't seem to be motivated to work on my website. I had all these photos and ideas for a section on my entire gel pen collection (which is extensive) last autumn. Then Animal Crossing came into my life and everything else took second place. I don't even remember what I was going to do with the gel pen section on my website.
I haven't been keeping up on my Animal Crossing section, or Coolpix section, or anything else. I get just a little behind on anything and suddenly it gets to be too much and snowballs.
So what I have been spending the most time on is Animal Crossing (two towns: LarkRise, my original town, and NeatTown, my tri-level new town) and Disney's Toontown Online (Cat'r and I have made some really nice friends there!).
Okay I am getting even more rambly here, so I think I should stop. If you have any suggestions about how to integrate things (hint hint
emmeke I ADORE your online journal!) or a thumbnail-making application or or or whatever, please comment. What should I *call* an all-inclusive journal/diary? Something not too child-like, not to sophisticated/grown-up...Suggestions? My brain is not working. :-P
