Thursday outing
Cat'r took me to get my driver's license renewed--almost beyond the 6-month grace period! We had to stand around for about 1/2 hour. It was almost too warm in there too. Yesterday it got up to 66oF. Mostly fair day, breezy, *lovely*.
Afterwards we went to the toy store near us that I love, and I got lots of goodies! When we first walked in I saw the display of Easter-y/springtime-y plushies and made a beeline for the cute little black-faced lambies! (Ty Beanie Buddies) I picked one out and carried it all around the store with me while I shopped for other things.
Next I got: a Hello Kitty Dream World "Lady-Buggy" vehicle; many Sanrio (mostly Hello Kitty) pencils; a Hello Kitty Bubble mechanical pencil; extra leads in a Hello Kitty Bubble tiny plastic box; a Spottie Dottie (blergh, but oh well) stacked pencil; and a Hello Kitty stacked eraser.
Then I decided to look at the display of Ty fuzzy people. I got a very cute Beanie Baby bear called Sizzle, who is a fire-y red. His fur is unusual/pretty and very yummy-feeling! Around the other side of the display I saw a row of the most lovely pastel pink bears (these are Ty Classic bears) with fancy matching neck ribbons! I found one with the perfect face and added her to my basket. :-)
Then to the checkout to see how much (eep! oh well, everything was *worth* it!). Then home. :-)
I leave the hang-tags on Beanie Babies (and put tag protectors on them), but I don't leave the tags on Beanie Buddies and Ty other people. I think because I snuggle the larger people and don't want to get my eye poked out. :-p Anyway, I got everyone settled in, introduced them to Stutzie, the Head of All My People, and let everyone get acquainted.
Today a large contingent will hear Cat'r read more to me from _The Hobbit_ (we haven't been doing this lately, but finally back to it!).
