"How silently...

how silently the wondrous gift is giv'n..." I always think of that verse, from "O Little Town of Bethlehem", as applying to snowfall. It always feels like a wondrous gift to me...

I can't tell how much we have gotten so far--only a couple or so inches, I think. But it's so very beautiful! ::crossing fingers and wishing for more!::

Well phfft.

We got maybe 1 or 2 inches of snow, but most of it's melting. ::sigh:: I went out and took about four photos. There's not even enough snow to cover up all the grass. ::pout:: I think there was more snow on the ground that day Cat'r took me over to my last "frying" appointment. :-P

So I didn't bother taking a bear out. I was more tired going up and down the stairs (we're on the 3d floor) than I thought I would be, so that's it for this photo session.

I guess if I get nostalgic, I can always just go look at my own Snow Pictures section of my website...

Broken links

Argh. I have broken links and other things that need to be fixed on my website; but Cat'r and I haven't gotten around to sitting down and getting FrontPage and the Personal Web Server and stuff reinstalled on my computer. Plus I don't have an FTP client right now either.

So apologies for stuff that doesn't work at The Mouse House.

Brevity is the soul...

(from a mailing list I am on)

A university creative writing class was asked to write a concise essay containing the following elements:

1. Religion
2. Royalty
3. Sex
4. Mystery

The prize-winning essay read:

"My God," said the Queen. "I'm pregnant. I wonder who did it?"
