Storms and geeks

So right after I posted the "No sleep" entry, we had to shut down our computers and unplug things, and I had to call the Cat'r and tell him to NOT go out (walking) to a restaurant: we had a severe thunderstorm on the way, and then a county just west of us got a tornado warning. It was definitely quite a storm. But thank goodness the thunderstorm cell that had the (Doppler-indicated) tornado in it dove to the south and east of us.

Later in the evening, the Cat'r was over. We didn't really have time to watch last week's "The Lone Gunmen" (on tape), so we just settled for watching the current one live, at 9pm (the one about chimps). Maybe tomorrow (Sunday) we can watch that other episode. I am really confused now as to which episode has or will have Skinner in it.

I actually got to bed before midnight last night! :-P

Kero, Clow Cards, music, and more!

I was up early early, and started playing some more "Paper Mario" before it got tooo sunny.

Bunnicula did the grocery shopping this morning early: he was able to find all the Easter goodies I wanted/needed for fixing up baskets next weekend--but I'm not giving out details in case a certain party or two might be READING ::pbpbpbt:: :-D

Then Bunnicula went out on other errands. He phoned me from the Sanrio-carrying store ::grin:: I asked if they had any stickers; they had a pathetically small amount/variety. No Spotted Abomination for me! But he *was* able to get me some cute Hello Kitty stickers. :-)

And THEN shortly thereafter he phoned me again and said he was at the videogame store and did I want a stuffed/plush Kero doll that talked? and also some Clow Cards in a BOOK?! They only had one of each, so I said, "YES!" Wow! Kero is larger than his counterpart in the series, "Card Captor Sakura"; but his face looks perfect, and he looks very very cute sitting on top of the stereo. He does make a good guardian. :-) And the Clow Cards: they are just like in the series, in a very well-made book-like box that has a clasp that *does* almost spring open at you! NOW I am going to have to search the Web and see if anyone has come up with a (sensible) way of possibly using the Clow Cards for divinatory purposes.

Did I mention that I played "Paper Mario" almost all morning...again? :-P

Then early this afternoon I spent more money...although this is going to have to be all for a while now. My little checking account won't be able to take much more of this! I ordered the "Lunar 2: Eternal Blue" hardbound strategy guide from GameStop.com--I'd been waiting for this ever since I got "Lunar 2" when it came out...was that November? or December of last year. And I also ordered "Idylls", the first CD by Love Spirals Downwards, from Tower Records online. I thought about ordering "Twilight" by BOA (the group that did "Duvet", the opening song for "serial experiments lain"), but somehow that just wasn't what I wanted Right Now.

Then later this afternoon Cat'r came over. He hung out and read for a while, while I had to do some dishes and other kitchen-y chores. And then we all watched three episodes of "Fushigi Yuugi". That series is SO GOOD!

Bunnicula fixed some nice messy open-face hot-dogs-and-chili sandwiches for supper. :-)

Some more TV, then just hanging out for a while, then Cat'r went on home.

Nice comfortable happy day. :-)

So sleeeeepy

Must ... go ... to ... sleep ... nooowwww ...
