I know my mother is sometimes unhappy, now that she is not living in a retirement community anymore. She needs to be around a LOT of people, to keep her mind off things...My sister and brother-in-law and niece do as much as they can for her (she is living with them in their new home, and she has her own room and TV and all that); but what is really at the base of everything (my sister said) is that Mama would only be truly happy if Daddy were alive again and they were once more in their house that they had built. ::sigh:: But my sister and I have both been encouraging Mama to get online (my sister has shown her a little about AOL, which is a very easy first entry into the online world). When there are days when Mama can't get to the senior center, then there would be people she could interact with online.

A few weeks ago, when Mama and I were talking on the phone, she told me all about how she and Daddy first met and how their courtship went--it was so whirlwind and romantic! :-) (picture ASCII hearts here at this point ::grin::) I am not sure if I will write about it here...maybe sometime.

So I took a little nap in the afternoon (it's almost still Friday to me), then had some late lunch. About that time Bunnicula got back from the grocery with FOOD. Now we are stocked up once again. :-)

Cat'r came here directly from work: that was nice. :-) :-)

After I finished doing some kitchen chores, I watched him play "Shadow of Destiny". That is such an enthralling game! But although he has been urging me to play it also, I would find it tooo tense. I enjoy watching *him* play it though. You keep *dying* and having to keep travelling in time to avert all these attempts on your life...and I suppose find out the entire reason behind them, so that you will eventually be out of danger.

which is really all right with me. Have been online for HOURS today: reading LJ's, on IRC, chatting on AIM with my sister, chatting with others on ICQ, etc.

I was a DotComGuy fan last year, and so I still go to the #DotComGuy channel on DALnet. I met some really nice people there last year, and many still hang out there.

I should go do something useful. I should probably phone Cat'r also. :-P Although he might be all wrapped up in playing "Shadow of Destiny". We shall see. :-)
