Bizzy day

Well, it will be, sorta. Gotta get ready to do the awful chore of defrosting and washing out the refrigerator--no, we don't have a frost-free one. So we put stuff in coolers with ice, then do the stuff with pans of boiling water, then washing out. Then turning the fridge back on and cooling it down sufficiently so that it's safe to put the food back in (that takes an hour or two). I have been making sure we use up as much of the food as possible leading up to today. The box of baking soda in the refrigerator said 11/98 on it (eeeeep!), so I guess we are a *bit* overdue to DO this. :-P

And then, at 12:01am tonight/tomorrow-just-past-midnight, the Water Works peoples is gonna turn off the water for 8 hours. AGAIN. So after the defrosting stuff, gotta make sure we have dishes washed up, and pots and pans and bathtub filled with water.

But I wanted to indulge myself first and get online. :-P Well, I have been doing some things around the house already, just taking a LiveJournal break. :-D

Cat'r phoned and gave me his phone number at work, at his new assignment. He also said for me to leave ICQ running, so that he could reach me that way, if need be. :-)

This music

WinAmp is not exactly showing this music correctly. It's actually a soundtrack from a TV special some years ago called "In Search of Angels", with music by various artists. Jane Siberry's "Calling All Angels" (with k.d. lang singing harmonies) is on this.

This music is so peaceful, so uplifting... :-)

In mid-defrost

Well, actually, my part is over for the moment (getting the ice/frost out of the freezer). Right now Bunnicula is washing out the fridge and freezer; then when he washes the racks and crisper drawer, I need to be ready to dry those and put them back in. Then turn on the fridge and let it cool down. Time to do other things then. :-)

When it's time to put the food back in, that's a joint effort too, sorta assembly-line-like. :-P

Isn't this fascinating?! LOL!
