::whisper::

I seem to've lost my voice (again--this happened when I had a cold last month). I had a tickly cough Friday night/Saturday until afternoon. I don't seem to have anything else going on (*knock on wood!*), so this might be allergy. My sister, who used to be a nurse and is now a medical transcriptionist, says I should rest my voice today, breathe steam, drink plenty of fluids, and see how I am tomorrow.

Yesterday we all watched a very cute Chow Yun-Fat movie called "Fractured Follies". He plays a kind of cute but nerdy guy in this film--I know, not what you are used to if you have seen "City on Fire", "Hard Boiled", etc. Anyway it was a romantic comedy. Very nice. :-)

Cat'r read some more to me from "The Jeeves Omnibus" by P. G. Wodehouse.

Off to rest.

Silent Mouse...

holey (well, old socks) mouse...Been NOT talking, just a little whispering when it's essential to communicate. Wow, I'm glad my sis is online and has AOL Instant Messenger. I can talk, even when I *can't* talk. And it's a LOT cheaper than long-distance too!

Got some cute things from auctions yesterday (things are still trickling in from auctions from 2 or more weeks ago): a Tare Panda pad of letter paper, various designs, including one of them dressed up as cowboys and Indians?! That is too funny, even if it *is* politically incorrect! LOL! Tare ("floppy") Panda are so funny and weird looking, with their vacant and dumbfounded look. They are only able to get around by rolling along. Cat'r got me a little Tare Panda plush mascot a while back. I know they're all the rage in Japan, but at first I didn't like them. I thought they were just too ... strange and spooky-looking. But after looking at a lot of other San-X things, I started to warm up to them. I now have (or soon will have, with things arriving from completed auctions) stationery, stickers, memo pads, etc.

The other stuff I got yesterday is several products with Sanrio's newest character, Nemukko Nyago, on them. It's a totally CUTE little sleeping kitty cat, on its pillow. I got a memo pad in an embossed tin, a stationery set with stickers, another (different) memo pad, and some "puffy" stickers.

From my observations of Sanrio and San-X products, the Japanese seem to have a fascination with miniaturization. Such cute TINY notepads of paper and TINY rubber stamps. I adore them and wish U.S. stationery companies would put out things like this.

Well, need to go breathe in some steam--what fun! :-P Well, it'll help my poor voice.
