January 22nd, 2001

::yawn::

Lazy day. Reading ("All Tomorrow's Parties" by William Gibson), music (random--I just dug out 4 Kitaro CDs. I have totally forgotten what his music sounds like), surfing LiveJournals. :-)

Cold out...I think it was something like 14oF. this morning. We might get a little snow later this week. ::mouse likes snow:: :-)

I hope Cat'r will be coming over tonight--then I can see his cute new haircut. :-P And we can watch some anime or a movie or sumpin.

It's Bunnicula's birthday. I almost totally forgot about a cake--eep! Fortunately I always keep a Sara Lee pound cake in the freezer, and we can get some Ben & Jerry's for tonight. Made a B.D. card on my 'puter last night, with Microsoft Greetings (part of the Works Suite). And I have a couple little presents I got Bunnicula a week or so ago. :-) I DON'T WANT TO FORGET to use the crackers that we bought for Christmas, then forgot. Then forgot to use for New Year's. And forgot to use for Three Kings' Day. Hey, when's the Chinese New Year? In a couple days? When's the new moon? Let me check the Old Farmer's Almanac. Just a sec. On the 24th. Okay, another good excuse to pull some crackers. :-)

I hope to get a nap this afternoon. Those new pillows we got (for $4.50 each! wow, what a bargain! They're Wamsutta, but were marked "irregular", although I can't see anything wrong with them) are sooooo luxurious! Nice and plump and firm (does this sound like I am describing a turkey? let's not even go to whatever else you think I might be describing! LOL!). Anyway, they just call OUT to me: Take a nap! Sleep longer! Prop up in bed and read!

Okay, later, the Pillows are more irresistable than I could've possibly imagined...!

Birthdays and bullets

That sounds ominous, doesn't it? Not to worry. :-) We had our little cake and ice cream thingee for Bunnicula; I gave him his presents, which he liked; then we watched two episodes of "Trigun" (Vash the Stampede). I *really* like that series. Cat'r even got me a beautifully-done Vash action figure a couple months ago.

Bunnicula seemed to think we were going to let this day go by unnoticed. Hehehe. Not a chance. Birthdays are important. So late last night I was sneaking around, sticking little "Happy Birthday" notes all around the apartment: on the bathroom mirror, on his computer monitor, on his alarm clock, on the front door, lots of places. :-P I gave him his card this morning, then the presents this evening, when we had cake and ice cream.

Well, I'm off for now...laters. :-)
