A beginning...

I seem to've wandered into a magical place! I really had no idea I would be keeping an online journal. I came to LiveJournal initially to view a friend's entry, signed up so I could reply to one of her entries, and well one thing led to another. It's a mystery to me what I will be talking about here. :-) But anyway...

I haven't been doing much for the last seven days--I've had a cold and cough and mostly just been sleeping, eating, keeping hydrated, breathing steam, all those fun things.

I received a large Avon order from my sister one or two days into my illness, so I have barely checked what I got. I know it's mostly jewelry (I LOVE stretch bead bracelets, rings, and such), and I know I will like everything.

I didn't watch last night's "Iron Chef" on FoodTV; but since I taped it, I will get around to it eventually. It was "Black Pig Battle".

Time to eat, then rest

Okay, I have been fiddling around with Interests and looking at a few other journals. Then I checked a couple email lists I am on, then went to CNN's site to see what the world is up to.

Now my eyes are finally *tired*, and I need to go eat a (late) lunch, then get a nap. Oh yes, breathe in steam at some point. Throat seems better, though (*knock on wood*), at least I sound like myself again and NOT croaking ::grin::

Hangin' out on the 'Net

Not well enough to go out, so going to potter around on the 'Net tonight. I hate being germ-y--can't cuddle my teddy bears and other fuzzy people. I just wave to them. :-P

I am a "weather nut". I tend to watch The Weather Channel a LOT. Well, it's less dangerous than watching QVC--where you can Spend Money That You Don't Have. Anyway, about weather: we had a much colder-than-normal December here in Cincinnati. I think they said 5th or 6th coldest in recorded weather history here. Now we are having a mild January. That's okay by me, though. January is usually brutal here (well, comparatively speaking--I know people in Minnesota and Upstate New York will probably be laughing up their sleeves at this point).

Well, anyway, gonna go surf and such. This isn't the most spectacularly interesting journal in the world, to say the least...heh. :-P

"I am vast, I contain multitudes..."

"I have an alter ego that goes in and out with me,/And what can be the use of her is more than I can see..." (apologies to Robert Louis Stevenson) Well, I found a very cute cute site during my peregrinations. But that was in one of my other forms, so I'll simply point you to the place and let you have a fun time poking around. :-) It's called Monja City, and it's at [update 8-16-02: blah-de-blah-blah This link no longer works. In fact, for some unknown reason, it takes one to eBay! whaaat?? Oh well!] It's *totally* cute!
